Doris Ogah Crowned as 45th Miss Nigeria at Glamorous Pageant in Lagos

Victory at Prestigious Event
Doris Ogah, a lawyer and model hailing from Nigeria’s south-south region, emerged victorious on Thursday night as the 45th Miss Nigeria. The event, held at the Royal Box Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, was a grand celebration of culture and beauty, featuring 20 semi-finalists who had been unveiled earlier in the week.

Ogah outshone her competitors, defeating four other finalists Ann Eneanya, Divine Nelson, Bukunmi Ogunsanya, and Diane Paul to claim the coveted title. The outgoing Miss Nigeria, Shatu Garko, crowned Ogah as her successor, marking a new chapter in the legacy of the pageant.

Celebrating Cultural Heritage
The contestants showcased their cultural heritage through various stages of the competition, reflecting Nigeria’s rich and diverse traditions. Ogah’s poise, intelligence, and cultural representation ultimately set her apart, earning her the prestigious title.

Ogah’s Reaction and Aspirations
After her victory, Ogah expressed her joy and gratitude, describing her participation in the pageant as a lifelong dream come true.

“It’s been an honor to be given the opportunity to serve as an example to inspire and empower countless women and girls around the world,” she wrote on Instagram, thanking the organizers for making her dream a reality.

Star-Studded Entertainment
The night was not just about competition; it was also a celebration. Nigerian music stars Yemi Alade and KCee electrified the audience with their performances, adding glamour and excitement to the already dazzling event.

Transition of Leadership
The 45th Miss Nigeria pageant also marked a significant milestone in the history of the competition. In October last year, the organizing responsibilities transitioned from Folio Communications, founded by Fidelis Anosike, to TASC, a company owned by actress Dominic and film director Mildred Okwo. Dominic succeeded her husband Anosike, ensuring the continuation of the pageant’s legacy under new leadership.
